Monday June 19

Welcome party

Location: Chemical and Geological Sciences Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia  (Via G. Campi 103) the first day of the school, starting from 6.00 pm.  A get together party to break the ice with a glass of good wine!

The welcome party will be cheered by the performance of the choir CORO DELL’INDACO di Reggio Emilia.

Thuesday June 20

Visit at the Ghirlandina tower

Considered to be one of the main symbols of the city, the tower Ghirlandina has been recently restored and is open to visitors. Three groups of 25 people will rise on the tower in sequence, starting from 6.30 pm. More information about the tower available here: Ghirlandina tower Modena

After visit party

After visiting the tower, the social event will take place in the facing square (named Piazza Grande) at the “Caffè Concerto” (Website) one of the most popular restaurants in the city.

Traditional Emilian dinner

On the way back to Modena after the field trip, we will stop for dinner in a typical local restaurant with a traditional local menu.  The dinner will be held at the “La Prateria” restaurant (http://www.laprateria.net/).
